We regret to announce the passing of Stuart Hall, a member of our Editorial Advisory Board since 1983. He was a leading figure of the British Left and a visionary race theorist, making profound contributions to the field of cultural studies at the Center for Contemporary Cultural Studies at Birmingham University. In 1993, we published his article, “What Is This ‘Black’ in Black Popular Culture?”.
